What a difference an inch makes. It’s such a small unit of measurement, but in the world of monitors, it makes a huge difference.

Over the last few weeks, we’ve received plenty of complaints via e-mail about the monitor industry’s trend of moving from away from making 24-inch monitors–each with 1,920×1,200-pixel resolution–to releasing  23-inch monitors–which have a 1,920×1,080-pixel resolution, or 2,048×1,152 pixels in rare cases.

We’ve accepted the industry’s transition from 23-inch monitors to 24-inch monitors. And in some instances, especially in the case of 2,048×1,152-pixel resolution 23-inch displays, we actually prefer them to 24-inch models.
