Step 3: I guess, Currently you have XP on C: . Boot your computer with Win7 DVD & install it on D: . When bootloader config options appear., Do that step carefully & set which OS should be booted by default. Note: Have some of your geeky friends near you while doing it. I dont want you to mess you XP with Win7 during installation. You have much chances for losing your data and/or existing OS. Why do you want to do that? You sounds like my college lab supervisor :) He always keeps eye on my friends for copying files from pendrive or hidden folders and put it in working directory.
