What is Proxy server and its uses?

Tell me the use of proxy server and its usage. How to configure proxy server to block particular sites like facebook,twitter,etc.,

ப்ரொக்சி  என்பது  மாற்றுவழி  போன்றது அல்லது ஒரு கதவு போன்றது.  

உங்களின் கணினியில் உள்ள இணைய இணைப்பு நேரடியாக இணையத்துடன் இணையாமல்  ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட செர்வெரை முதலில் தொடர்பு கொண்டு பிறகு இணையத்தை தொடர்பு கொள்ளச் செய்வதுதான் Proxy Server.

பொதுவாக உங்களை ஏமாற்றி Facebook Twitter போன்ற தளங்களை பார்வையிட  உங்களின் மாணவர்கள் அல்லது அலுவலர்கள் Proxy யை பயன்படுத்தி அந்த தளங்களை பார்வையிடுவர்.

உங்களால் proxy வைத்து அந்த தளங்களை தடுக்க முடியாது. அதற்கு நீங்கள் DNS சர்வர் பயன்படுத்த வேண்டும்.

இலவசமாக உள்ள OpenDNS . org பயன்படுத்தி குறிப்பிட்ட தளங்களை தடுக்கலாம்.

அதற்க்கு உங்களின் மோடம் உள்ளே  (ADSL Modem page 192.168.1.1 என உலவியில் தட்டச்சு செய்து போக வேண்டும்)  WLAN எனும் பகுதி அல்லது DNS எனும் பகுதியில் சென்று opendns IP முகவரிகளை கொடுக்க வேண்டும். பின்னர்.. opendns தலத்தில் உங்களுக்கு எந்த எந்த தளங்களை தடுக்க வேண்டும் என அங்கே கொடுக்க வேண்டும்.

proxy servers cannot be blocked to particular websites. But it can be used to access IP restricted or Geo restricted websites. You can check the change in your IP address by having an IP lookup at http://www.ip-details.com/ good luck.
